Monique Bertrand, who previously believed she couldn’t conceive due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), has defied all odds by giving birth to triplets.
At the age of 38, Monique and her partner, Monique John, 39, had explored various alternatives such as fostering and adoption after years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive.
In April 2022, Monique received the incredible news that she was pregnant, filling the couple with immense joy. However, the surprises didn’t end there.
During her eighth week of pregnancy, Monique discovered that she was not expecting just one baby, but three.
To the delight and amazement of 200 guests at their baby shower, Monique and John shared the news of the triplet pregnancy when Monique was 27 weeks along.
The birth of the triplets has brought immeasurable happiness to Monique and John, surpassing all their expectations and overcoming the challenges they faced on their journey to start a family.
“I waited a long time to be a mom, so when the sonographer revealed it was triplets, I couldn’t help but shout in a mix of confusion and happiness. It’s truly a blessing despite the many challenges we’ve faced. The doctors referred to them as miracle babies,” she said excitedly.
